What's On During the Week

The excellent and entertaining Doune Bassoon Quartet is giving a concert in Dunblane Cathedral on Sunday 2nd February.

This is a concert with a difference…

If you come to the Cathedral Hall at 2pm, you can ‘Meet the Bassoon’ and discover all its idiosyncrasies in a free, fun, informal demonstration lasting about 30 mins.

Children, and adults, of all ages are most welcome.

The main concert is at 3pm in the Cathedral, with the usual interval and refreshments.

There’s music for all tastes: the first half considers the historical perspective and the beauty of ‘The bassoon through the centuries’.

After the interval, ‘The bassoon entertains’ throws caution to the wind!

Admission to the concert is by donation.
